Cd/dvd drive not reconized

My laptop running vista crashed, I had windows 7 installed by a teck. (or so he says) now my cd drive wont work. What can I do to repair this? I dont know to much about computers. My laptop is an acer aspire 5520-5147.

Go to Acer's website and find your exact model. They may have updated drivers for your system and Windows 7.

I had a similar problem with a Dell laptop. Reinstalled vista. Worked fine after that. GOOD LUCK.
