Gateway M-6827 LCD screen issues

Gateway M-6827 LCD screen appears frozen unless bottom right side is held. I took it apart to make certain connections were secure but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

The motherboard may be damaged from a drop or severe shock. I just fixed a Toshiba laptop with a similar symptom. I replaced the motherboard. The case was cracked in the area where the hard drive bay was. Is the hard drive near the suspect bottom area?
