Out of interest: browser and OS breakdowns?

Considering this is a highly geeky site (it must be, I use it...), I'm wondering what the OS and browser breakdowns are here?

I'm expecting a higher-than-normal level of Firefox usage anyway. Not sure about OS's here, all our "Linux" users seem to use Windows a lot, and I (shamefully) still usually post from Windows...

You'll see a lot more Firefox, Opera and alternative browser users here for sure.

Exactly how much? I'm not sure.

I bet Julio knows though.

The other 4 are just half pieces?? /ducks

I wouldn't have thought IE to have such a high percentage here.. but on the other hand we probably get lots of google hits of people lloking for help, and the non-regulars bring in IE hits I bet...

Nope, some of the Macintosh hits are me. Scarily, MacIE on the old 5400 I have works with my proxy, whereas Windows IE doesn't always work right...

That breakdown is kinda what I expected anyway.

Consider that even some 15% of alternative browsers being used is an extremely high mark, a few months ago that wasn't higher than 7% or so.

Also some of that IE is probably me in Opera, I had that set to say it was IE rather than Opera for some site once and forgot to change it back.

Also must consider that our sample is way wider than some small website or tech-related blog, we are talking of hundreds of thousands visitors.
