I have a Western Digital WD3200 serial ATA hard drive. Power was hooked up to both the molex 4 pin and the sata power hook up. Drive is dead now.
Is there any way to resurrect the drive, fuse.....

I had one of those drives too, I think it came with a sata cable that blocked the sata power so you could only connect molex. Guess it assumed (or maybe there was a warning) that you wouldn't hook up molex if you were using your own sata data cable.
Thanx guys. The drive is not under warrantee any longer.
I guess they are fried. I just cannot believe these drives are not ***** proof. I did see a big red "do not do this" warning in the pdf for that drive. Of coarse that was after the damage was done.
