Mobile phone gaming to take off

Mobile phone gaming is about to boom, according to a recent study on the matter. That study predicts that the U.S. mobile gaming industry alone will be worth $1.8 billion by 2009, and that by then gaming will account for about 4 percent of total wireless-data revenue in the United States. All in all, in five years time, 78.6 million people will be playing games on their mobiles.

Of course, the usual game giants like Sony and Nintendo are already on the case, and it probably won't be long before Microsoft is at it as well.
