New prosser

i need help please i burnt up my prosser cuz im stupid i had amd xp 1900+ i bought a mad xp 2600+ after i installed it it was running slower that the last one its at 1.52gig my last one was at 1.59gig when i went to bios to change it i found there is no menu to change its speed and thats where im stuck what can i do to change the speed there are no jumpers on my board to change the speed thanks for any help i get.

Are you sure your mobo even supports it?, read your manual.
On page 1-4 i found

AMD Processors Support
Athlon XP: 1500+ to 2100+ and up* at 266 MHz FSB;
1600+ to 2200+ and up* at 266 MHz FSB;
Athlon: 900 MHz to 1.4 GHz and up*at 200 MHz FSB;
1.0 GHz to 1.4 GHz at 266 MHz FSB;
Duron: 900 MHz to 1.3 GHz and up* at 200 MHz FSB
(*: not tested yet)

Don't know about bios updates ect, havent looked that far(no time atm)

On page 2-6 you can find how to set your fsb speed

Didn't see anything about the multiplier but i scrolled down rather fast
