Welcome to TechSpot, David. I'll help with the problem. I just found your original thread and am having the moderator transfer that post describing the problems to this thread with the logs.

All comments and logs for this problem should be posted here
 
Please tell me where you saw directions to run the scans in Safe Mode. We try to run all in Normal Mode unless instructed differently or if a user can't get in to Normal Mode.
