Programs don't go on my Add\Remove List

Hi
Why don't the programs that I install from the CD get put on my list in Add\Remove (Control Panel)? I am assuming that if I start in Add\Remove then they will but I have installed 15 programs straight from the CD installer and only 2 went into the Add\Remove list. When I download a program and install it, they don't go into the Add\Remove list either. I have maybe 30 programs installed and I only have 3 of them in the Add\Remove list.

When installing where are you installing too?

Only things installed into the programme folder will show up in add remove programmes.

I found them......... They were in the Add\Remove list after all. I really don't understand why there are 6 listed at the top of the list and the other 30 odd programs are way down at the bottom of the scroll bar. Like 10 feet away. Why all the space between the two sections? So far I have had XP for a month and can't see why everyone is so happy with it. It seems more stable then WinMe was but it still has it's own problems.
