IBM to launch new disk system products

IBM plans to introduce some new midrange and high-end disk arrays, the DS6000 and DS8000. These disk systems have a new, more simplistic design, which helps keep costs down. IBM has then passed those savings on to the consumer. This new equipment is also supposed to support IBM's new "virtualization" technology.
