MP3 player skips but not on computer
MP3 player skips but not on computer
I have recorded an audio file in wave format from an on-line source, converted it to an MP3 file and then burned it on a CD-RW to play on my portable CD player. Some of the CD'd skip on the CD player but not when I play the CD on my computer. Any ideas of what could be wrong or is there just too many processes I'm going through to get to the finished product? |

It is probably the CD player not being able to read the CD and compensate for errors fast enough. It is very common that burned CDs read properly only in the device they are burned in.
You could try burning the MP3s at a slower speed to high quality CD-Rs. Or reduce the bitrate if it is very high to get a smaller file (smaller file = less data to read). |

Thanks, I'll try to slow things down a bit. Also, I have purchased a "cleaner" to see if that helps. I've never cleaned the unit before.
