Suspect BIOS problem
I have been given an old Toshiba laptop (550CDT) to look at because it will not boot up. When you turn it on it shows just a message about inserting the BIOS update diskette and hitting any key.
I downloaded a BIOS update and it booted into windows OK, but if I switch the machine off it comes up with the message again. If I just restart the laptop it goes into windows without a problem. Why the BIOS is not saving the info has me beat. Any suggestions anyone? |
