Changing hard drives from IDE to SATA With a RAID configuration in Windows 7

There was a previous thread on this, but none which I found pertaining to Windows 7.

Can anybody point me in the right direction to do this?

Possibly without having to use the Win7 installation CD...

Sure thing.

I have a computer here with Windows 7. I have 4 HDD and one SSD. The local drive is the SSD and I have installed windows while the motherboard settings were set to IDE on HDD configuration. When I switch this in my motherboard to RAID configuration, my Windows 7 operating system will not boot up; just an instant blue-screen and reboot.

I would like to switch this setting because I would like to configure the HDDs in the computer into a RAID configuration, it will not enable RAID if it is set to IDE.

I do not have the original Windows 7 installation CD, so very unfortunate.

Maybe I could get the correct drivers or, unfortunately use a pirated copy of windows install cd to do a repair?
