One of my PC's crapped out, but the HDD is still intact. If I install it into a external hdd to USB enclosure, will I be able to access it from another PC?
When the connection works correctly, the external drive will have its own Drive Letter (DLA). Once that appears, you access it just like any other drive.
HOWEVER, your user files will be accessible and even usable where they sit or can be relocated if so desired, while the programs on that HD will never be usable nor relocatable. WHY? The registry that makes Windows programs work is on that external drive (and therefore inactive) and that data will not migrate onto your active C:\ drive where the OS registry is located.
