I have two graphics cards. What does it mean?

when i tried to check what type of graphic card i have on my hp laptop i found that i have 2 actually
1 is called intel HD garphic familly with 1GB memory
2nd is called radeon with 1,8GB memory what does that mean? by this question i mean does i have 1 GPU'z or does those 2 actually come together?

you have 2 graphics cards. one is dedicated, in your laptop solely for the purpose of providing graphics (the radeon). The other, the intel HD graphic family, is built into your processor. Chances are, the radeon is better. Although i dont know, depending on what radeon model you have. almost all of them will be better than the intel though.

I believe the use of two GPUs in laptops is for power saving mode/ battery mode. plugged in will use the better ie Radeon, when on batteries it will use the Intel intergrated.
