My Computer keeps going on standby unexpectedly! Geforce 5200 fx graphics card

My moniter just says power down standby mode. For no reason. Some days it dosent do it at all, Some days as soon as i start the computer it does it. When it goes into standby mode you can not do anything to make it come back out. Its realy annoying, because say when i was righting a long email it just shut off. PLease some one HELP ME!! p.s i sometimes get it like 20 times a day./

Can you borrow a video card from someone and try it. That will narrow it down to a faulty video card or motherboard. Im guessing the card though.
