hi i just installed windows xp pro and a new maxtor 60 gb harddrive. windows installed perfect and the harddrive read perfect. i also have another harddrive (slave) which is the reason i installed windows my cpu kept restarting and would not come back on. i decided to hook up another harddrive to read the information off the otherharddrive. done sucessfully. but when i took the windows xp pro disc out of the cpu and restarted it did the same thing it was doing with my other harddrive!
