Ge-force 5200 defective?

GE-Force 5200 causing PC to become inoperative. ASUS Tech responded that because I was getting a long beep and three short beeps card had problem. Tried to reseat and then installed an old card to get PC to work. Are others having problems with this card?

Its a bad card or just not compatable with your motherboard. What board is it?
