Device river causing reboot
Hi.
I've recently noticed that my computer has started to reboot itself on occasions (since trying to install XP SP2 - I have since uninstalled it, but I still have this reboot problem). I have got the info from the BSOD which throws up the following file name: usbuhci.sys In device manager this comes under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" - I have 4 "USB Root Hub" and 3 "VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller" - when I do a device listing, this particular file is listed under the 3 VIA Rev 5 USB . Driver date 1/7/2001. No apparent problems with it though - it is listed as working properly. Can you give me an explanation, and point me in the right direction to sort this problem out? Many thanks |

If you have the disk that came with your motherboard just reinstall the USB drivers. If not, download and install the latest chipset drivers.
