Device river causing reboot

Hi.

I've recently noticed that my computer has started to reboot itself on occasions (since trying to install XP SP2 - I have since uninstalled it, but I still have this reboot problem).

I have got the info from the BSOD which throws up the following file name:

usbuhci.sys

In device manager this comes under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" - I have 4 "USB Root Hub" and 3 "VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller" - when I do a device listing, this particular file is listed under the 3 VIA Rev 5 USB . Driver date 1/7/2001. No apparent problems with it though - it is listed as working properly.

Can you give me an explanation, and point me in the right direction to sort this problem out?

Many thanks

If you have the disk that came with your motherboard just reinstall the USB drivers. If not, download and install the latest chipset drivers.
