Upgrade cpu match?

I have a Matsonic ms7070s motherboard I recently aquired a pentium3 600eb/256/133/1.65v slot 1 cpu but it does nothing when I put it in. Is this a bad cpu or is it not compatable?

Your motherboard manual clearly states: "Supports up to 450 MHz Intel Pentium® II processors and Celeron processors with MMX technology"

According to the website Motherboard.cz This motherboard can support a Pentium 3 up to a 600mhz

Maybe you are thinking ms7070sd which, according to Matsonic, supports PIII processors?
