Show FPS in Star Wars: Republic Commando demo?
I was wondering how to display the FPS in Star Wars: Republic Commando. I think I'm getting around 30-40 fps with everything on high, however there is a little lag in the mouse speed. I would like to know how many frames per second I am getting. Thanks.

Hi
Fraps will show you the fps in any opengl game, so if sw is opengl, google fraps and install it. I think that sw may have a built in benchmark so maybe you could use it and then you'll have an average. If you're using xp and you don't have a refresh rate fix then you are right in your suspicions, you may get only 25/60 fps. Xp doesn't lock the ref rate to anything more than 60 by default. If you run an ati card, they have an outstanding ref rate lock built in that works for opengl and d3d. With nvid cards you must have a 3rd party ref rate utility, far as I know. Some thoughts for you. |
