very cool, and could clear up alot of space but what about thermal issues and the inherant lost overclocking potental

I don't think the Via C3 processor has much overclocking potential in the first place so I don't think there will be much loss there...
I remember reading and posting news about the Eden platform a while back. Its a pretty good system for a web surfing, word processing, dvd watching machine and fairly compact. Could have a neat little PC in a gamecube size box sitting beside your gamecube under your television... Very neat but not for power users
