Can't create partition

Dear all,

guy's a have problem with my disk. I can't create the partition on it, it has message "harddisk write protection".
need your solution for this problem

running xp or w2k
right click on C:\ or what ever drive you are working on
go to properties go to security advanced add everyone below check all the boxs and apply or OK
may have to reboot :chef:
