Pci Usb Only Works With Shared Irq
My OS is Windows 98SE, Motherboard M747 with Celeron 333 MHz, BIOS 1996 release 29/10/1998.
I have: PCI modem slot 1. PCI USB slot 2. Free IRQ 12. While trying to add a PCI to USB card ALI M5273 (Compliant with USB 2, OHCI 1, EHCI 0.95): 1- Takes IRQ 12, ask to install again. 2- Takes IRQ 11, the IRQ of the Audio Device, ask to install again. 3- Takes IRQ 10, shearing it with the PCI Modem. Since the controller is not found: 4- Add an unknown device. Now the device connected (digital camera) works to get recorded images but as web cam only one very short time when connecting. I have tried others drivers for ALI M5273, but the only that works partially is the provided with Win98SE. Thaks you for reading. |

PC CHIPS motherboard, eh?
Let the bios configure the IRQ. It always works with Windows 95b and 98SE Lucan |
