HELP!
I have a Asrock K7VM2 board running happy with a AMD Athlon XP 1700 cpu.
I just bought a AMD Athlon XP 2400, number AXDC2400DKV3C, and I can't get it to work. So far as I am aware this SHOULD be compatible with this board. And I can't see anywhere to change much like clock mulipliers etc so assume that I just install and it should run. I have tried clearing CMOS but that doesn't help. Board powers up, fans etc, but no operating system and no beeping at all.
Can anyone shed light?? Have I bought a bad cpu?? Will send it back if so.
