withing the last few days, the ati control panel has been giving errors when i boot up(saying the control panel can't start because i dont have a driver or the driver is not working properly) , and in dxdiag, it show direct3d as being turned off(and cant turn on).
Not knowing what to do, i downloaded a new driver and installed. it made no difference what-so-ever. Same error message. so i uninstalled the control panel and thn installed the driver. no error message but still no direct3d and no hardware acceleration.i dont know why my driver wont work.


I dont know what to do to fix my driver problem so help will be really ppreciated!!

Uninstall all ATI related software. Then do a search for anything relating to ATI and delete what you find. Tnen reboot and install the latest driver package. If you're using Win 98 you may have to reinstall Windows. 98 doesnt handle driver problems very well.
