No Audio while playing DVDs

Hello again,

My saga continues with getting all the kinks out of this newly constructed
desktop computer. All and all things are going well.

I still have one pesky problem. I can not get audio from when playing DVDs.
I can place an audio CD in the drive and I hear that just fine.

I am using the canned dvdplayer.exe from windows 2000.
I have installed every service pack and patch available from Microsoft based on there windows update tool.

I also get no audio when I use the MaXimus DVD player version 1.2

I know that it must be a codec problem. That is all I know though.

I have attached a copy of the information tool from Nero 6.0.
It is information overload for me.
Can anyone guide me in correcting this problem? This is the last step before I hand the computer over to its proud new owner. :giddy:

I see on that report you have a Roxio driver on your machin CDralW2k, Cdr4_2k
These files cause a conflict with Nero .You will need to go to Nero's site and read a bit on this issue and clean it up. They have utilities for this .
I would use the Nero Showtime as a player and uninstall your DVD player.
Turn off Autorun and point media files to start Nero
There is a update for nero to 6.6 You may want to do this after you clear the conflicts.
