No sound from media player using soundforge or wavelab

Hi all,
I'm having a strange problem fresh install of XP PRo and soundforge with an edirol ur80 of board usb sound device I have the audio output to the Edirol but cannot get any sounds when using soundforge or wavelab although Cuebase sx plays okay through same setup any suggestions?

Most likely soundforge and wavelab are using the onboard sound device and not the usb device. You probably hafta goto tool or options or some such and find/select the usb sound device.

have already configured both to use usb souncard
