Ok, so here's my problem. I have a customer's machine that I can't seem to get into the recovery console to run a chkdsk. This is pretty much the only way I am going to be able to do it. Because somehow the file system became extremely corrupt. It boots into Windows XP but there are no icons on the desktop. Nor is there a start menu unless I add a toolbar to it. But none of the programs will launch. SeaTools drive diagnostics deemed the drive fine except for the file system. I can't get SFC to work either. And if I try to boot the recovery console I can't get in because of the Administrator password. But there isn't one. So what do I do?
