I have a problem with a Dell laptop, running windows 2000 professional, having gone to power save and now when trying to print we get RPC error, Ive tried uninstalling the drivers - I get system resources error, Ive powered down the printer and restarted along with the laptop, on reinstalling the drivers I get system resources error.

Ive checked in services, all options to stop and start are greyed out.

Anyone able to help?

The laptop isnt connected to the internet and no other software has been loaded, it has Nortons antivirus with the latest dats.

Help will be much appreciated.

Ive decided to send him the disks to reload windows. It was a revamped windows from another colleague he is using so better to be safe than sorry.
