Suitable case/psu for ASUS P4S800-mx
I have purchased an ASUS P4S800-mx mobo and I noticed it needs the standard 20-pin power connector but ALSO needs a 4-pin connector "to ensure adequate power supply to the CPU". Does this mean I need a different PSU? Or do all new PSU's (or PSU-Case comobos) come with both these power connectors?
Thanks, Michael |

A lot of power supplies do come with the 2x2 4pin connector but if not, you can get an adaptor.

just check the PSU you're going to buy. I think you'll be quite safe, most PSUs today should come with the extra 4-pin conncetor. But it doesn't hurt to doublecheck.
Here's a pic of a 4-pin connector. http://www.thecrucible.ca/reviews/sl...es/Image13.jpg Should have only 1 of these, but don't worry if there's more. |
