Can’t read CD-RW disk on older ATAPI CD-ROM
Can’t read CD-RW disk on older ATAPI CD-ROM
The CD-RW’s were created on Easy CD Creator on a new machine and can’t be read on an older machine. Any ideas? |

its entirely possible that the drive physically can't read the disks at all, as many older CD-ROM drives can't. I even have CD-ROM drives at work which can't even read CD-R, never mind CD-RW.... They only read disks which were pressed in a factory.

I haven this same problem. Only thing you can do is just read those certiain CD's from your CD-RW drive.

Not to mention some new ATAPI CD-ROM can read CD-RW disk or read them properly.
Never have experience on CD-RW disk but i hav on audio CDs. In my case, my newer 52x drive always has problems reading all the cds i burned, but when i played the audio-cd in my older 40x drive, everything goes smoothly. No jerks or screching background voice. |

Found http://www.ahead.de/en/content/helptool/333.htm and it did the trick. I tried a CD-R instaed of a CD-RW and my older computer could read it.
Thanks fot the help. |
