Hello and welcome to Techspot.

If your heatsink/cpu has a thermal pad, then you don`t really need to use thermal paste.

However, my own personal preference would be to remove this and use some Arctic silver thermal paste instead. Just remember only to use a very thin layer.

looks like it has thermal pad. if i remove this will it invalidate warranty

No, removing the thermal pad will not void the warranty.
