a question about the Ati Tool artifact scanner

Does anyone know how long you have to run the Ati tool artifact scanner for a graphics card to be considerd "stable"?

Everytime I ran it on my old 9600XT, I let it run for 8-10 hours just to be sure. The only real reason I let it run that long was because I would start it before I went to work and turned it off when I got home. You can almost be asured that if artifacts are going to show, they will within 5-10 minutes of running the program.
