i'm shuret his has already been answered somewhere, but i have faild to find it.

when i go to open task manager in windows xp, it will go back to the main window after clicking for it. but the task manager window never comes up.

i think his may coincide with a problem i have with firefox, where it refuses to open because of a program titled xpcom event receiver(it only shows up as needing to close when i shut down my pc)

it may just be a coincidence but i'm not shure. spybot dident pick it up and neither did the free trial of adaware

go to trend micro or symantec and run an online virus scan. there are some viri that will disable you from accessing the taskmanager.

I agree. You can also have a look at this thread. That will probably take care of a lot of your problems. If not post back.
