AMD news from Comdex

First thing is that AMD has announced some changes in their strategy, while this doesn't affect future CPU developments, Hector Ruiz, AMD's president and chief executive, said in a speech
that they will embrace a strategy of developing processors for a wider range of products outside computers and called on the industry to focus on user needs rather than creating "technology for technology's sake.

And on the PC side of things, AMD has also been showing 64 bit applications running on upcoming Opteron (2H03) and Clawhammer/Athlon 64 (2Q/03), among those Windows and UT 2003.
