Mozilla pulls latest browser downloads and then quickly releases fix

Remember I was raving about the new Mozilla 1.2 version here? Well, it has only been just a few days and already there is a problem. A problem so bad that Mozilla themselves have pulled downloads of the software.

"The newest bug affects some Web pages developed with dynamic HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), or DHTML--an advanced programming language that combines JavaScript, cascading style sheets, and the Document Object Model (DOM), among other technologies, to create a page that can change dynamically after it has loaded onto a browser. "

More here at ZDNET.COM

HOWEVER as of yesterday, Mozilla have posted a new build here which apparently has fixed the problem.

If you installed version 1.2, then I recommend that you upgrade to version 1.2.1 as soon as possible to avoid any problems.

Mozzila seems to be a huge program.
I saw 40 MB was the smallest download ... is this because it's w3 compliant?

The source code tarball is about 40M (gzipped), but Talkback-enabled Win32 installer is 11.2M (11.6M zip-version). You should get the binary version unless you really want to mess with the source. It's not really big IMHO - just think what the full install of IE6 or 7 is.
