While next year's AMD biggest efforts will come for the workstation market, Intel is setting itself a different target, trying to regain some lost share on the Enthusiast and Gamer markets; they need us of course, we represent a big chunk of the early adopters… The somewhat revamped P4 is doing great already, and this also sounds sweet:

According to sources, to enhance its competitiveness in the clone market, Intel has decided to allow users to adjust voltage and memory module transmission frequency on its own-brand Canterwood and Springdale boards, which are expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2003.

Speaking of which, both Intel and AMD have announced better than expected sales for this 4th Quarter. Is this a hint of PC sales recovery? IDG think so, though I'm still a bit skeptical on what analysts have to say, don't blame me.
