I just bought (tonight) a powerbook. I've used PCs since 1998, and used Macs from about 1992-1998.

So with that disclaimer, thats a pretty funny post, I think I've seen it before, at least in part, and if they would have just left out the vs mac part at the end (last one) it would have been great.

I got this in an e-mail several months ago and modded it, tho the mac
stuff was already there, I added # 2 & 3.

I had one apple comadore thing that was very cool, though
back then I did not know much at all.
I have many friend that are MAC only, from what I've been seeing of MACs

ahh, it's the architecture that is different. macs have been evolving just like PCs, but along different paths.

anywhere out there that compares the speed (relative)between a PC and mac
I know some about the market regards to price and speed
forgetting other components for now.
as I see a 400mhz mac still demands some cash where you can be hard put to give away a 400 mhz pc.
I know I've tried.and if it is so effective what stopping electronic industry from going a better way.

Main difference between mac and pc is the cpu type. Mac uses Risc cpu(the type the ps2 and ps use) and Pc use Cisc. Risc does more opertions per clock cycle and don't need to be at a higher clock frequency. But also Risc needs more memory and space. So like a 30-40 gig harddrive for mac is equal to a 20 gig harddrive for pc. Probably why itunes converts mp3's into its own format.
