Your music cd may be sending out reports

A very interesting and funny read over at Slashdot. Don't you sometimes get the creepy feeling that they, Microsoft or someone, is looking into your computer when you log onto the internet?"Will Your Cd Player Tell on You?"

System specs
Maybe some software like Windows Media Player or its CD Player does this - I'm sure my CD Player doesn't.

Well in this case it appears that the article is refering to software contained on the disc. A clear case of 'invasion of privacy'. Remember the Dilbert cursor? The thread goes on "What kind of ***** has their firewall configured to let their cd player send those packets out." then the reply " the average *****"

Firewall?....what firewall, where? hey hey hey
