explorer.exe 100% CPU

Hi- I've got a problem with explorer.exe that everytime i open a file or a picture or a video or just simply open My PC, the CPU usage start to climb gradually, i've read some other post and tried to kill the process and then restart it via Taskmanager and it does stops using that much CPU but when i try to see a file, again the same story and after 3 or 4 times windowsxp just simply crashes, and i have to hit that power button to turn it off...

I've also noticied that every time i enter a file an icon of Ogg DirectShow Filter poped up on the taskbar and if i did it agein the it was two of them, and there was no way i could kill the process or just disable it because it didnt appeared on taskmanager, so i unistalled the k-lite pack codecs and now it doesnt pops up but is still the same problem with explorer.exe hogging all the CPU...

any suggestions?? plz this is a not-so-pleasant situation!!!!
any help ive be more than gratefull!! thx
