Computer has gone slow all of a sudden. HELP!
Alright, For like 3 days my comp has been extremly slow. All diags i run freeze up. my computer use to be really fast ever since i first installed windows xp operating system. RAM seems to be fine but its still slow wat is going on?

hard drive space is Less than half full. and like i said all diags i run freeze up.

why is this in the Cooling and Modding Section?
Anyway, go to the security section of the forum. You could have spyware or trojans or something like that. Goto www.merijn.org and download HiJackThis, then Read:

System Freeze
Hi Bagyns.

I would suggest you check your cpu temp...
Otherwise there might be a few pocesses running that is killing your cpu.
Check for unknown apps / processes by using Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)

viruses and Spy ware and computer hardware check for eny virus that can screw stuff up bad

if your computer becomes slow dont panic.
hi, to solve your problems just reinstall your windows. check if your hardisk is full just remove the unused programs. or upgrade your memory or video card and processor. or download tune xp 1.5 it will tweak your system
