Why is my "Amd Athalon 64 Processor Driver" 5GB!?!

On my list of programs (on add/remove) my processor driver is the third biggest program at 5GB! What the hell! Is it acctually a driver or is it a Virus or somthing?!?

It's probably some mistake on part of the OS. The driver installs itself by default in program files\amd\Athlon 64 Processor Driver. Have a look there & see if it's really that big.

I would think it's Windows mis-reporting the size then.

The stats you see in Add/Remove programs are often just plain wrong. Both the size and last used bits.

If the installer package doesn't report the size of the thing it is installing the Windows will make a guess and as you can see it can guess very wrong.
