Processor Fan..

Processor Fan..

On my old computert that is running as a server now. the processor fan went up. so i bought a new one. but i was wondering which way should the air be blowing. Into the heatsink or pulling air through it?

System specs
Generally the fan blows air towards the fins if the heatsink. Certain heatsink makers such as Alpha concieve them in a way that's best suited for the air to be sucked away from the heatsink. The general rule is air towards the heatsink though.

Do you have any info on the heatsink ?
