ive heard they dont wantto close it because if you have the same problem you could post there insted of a new thred but maybe i heard wrong

Yes, it is nice to be able to see that a person has the same problem, and actually tried the solution. At that point when it didn't work, they post in that thread to help eliminate confusion about what has and hasn't been done yet.
