Blinking cursor during Installation of Pentium 4 Processor

I have upgraded my system with an Intel D865GLC motherboard and a P4 800 mhz processor. When I first booted up, I got the Intel splash screen and then a blinking cursor. I could go no further. After rebooting, I no longer get the splash screen, just a blinking cursor. I have done all the basic troubleshooting that I can think of. I have no floppy drive to upgrade the BIOS.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
