Tough competition in the Small factor market
Even though Shuttle has been the only major player for the last year or so in the Small Factor PC market, we have heard that Creative will also be joining the party (you can imagine all the marketing dollars they are planning to push), and now The Inq is reporting that some other taiwanesse manufacturers will be joining as well:
The Taipei Times reported that Gigabyte has a mini PC in the wings, and so too have giants Microstar International (MSI) and Asustek. The mini-PCs Shuttle sells are small enough to not hog your desktop or your living room floor, and have attracted a lot of attention from resellers because they're very different from the ordinary white box we're all used to. |
