Ram Timings Causing BF2 To Crash?
Asking for opinions here. I have been having recurring crash problems with BF2. Crash to desktop, crash to restart etc. I've tried different drivers and reloaded the game. Reinstalled XP. Tried everything. Today I set the timing n my RAM back from 2/3/3/6 1T to 2.5/3/3/6 1T. No more crashes. These timings were rock solid and every other game ate them up. Apparently BF2 is so sensitive to system specs that these timings caused the game to crash. I'll keep experimenting butthis may be a solution for others. Performance hit shouldn't be that bad at all.

Runnin 2.5 3-3-6 always made my computer crash in games. Changing it to 3-3-7 solved the problem. BF2 is a memory hog anyway.

Well, Corsair recommends 2.5 CAS but I was benchmarking fine with CAS 2. Guess I'll stick w/ CAS 2.5 except when benchmarking.
