Read: Posting Problems
In order for us senior TechSpot members to help you with viruses and other problems, you must do the following:
1. Post in the APPROPRIATE forum. 2. Post your problem ONCE with specifics and RESEARCH. Simply stating, "I'm getting pop-ups or my system crashes doesn't cut it." Do a little homework, and post an EDUCATED question. for example: my computer crashed when I do this, or after I installed this, or I ran my anti-virus and it reported this.... 3. THEN and only THEN, do the following: 1. Follow the instructions in these procedures: - Read: How to remove Trojans and its ilk! - Read: How to remove Begin2Search/Coolwebsearch and Other Nasties - Read: How to post your Hijackthis log-files as an attachment. 2. RUN an anti-virus with all updates. RUN Spybot Search and destroy and ad-aware and Ewido with ALL updates. 3. Report results here in your posting. Both Realblackstuff and myself are getting tired of answering questions for people who don't bother to even learn the basics.... we both understand that not everyone is an expert, but if you know how to use the internet, then you can learn how to boot into safe mode and tinker with your registry and run an anti-virus..... it's not hard. thanks for complying - you'll be helping yourself!
