Same Remote for NVIDIA & ATI cards

Interesting note over at x-bit labs, apparently NVIDIA will be outsourcing their remote controls to the same 3rd party ATI has ben using for the All-In-Wonder series, thing is, they look very similar:



Once again, these remotes won't be found on the standard GeForce's but the upcoming Personal Cinema product NVIDIA plans to ship.

That is kind of funny, I figured they would want to have a whole new look of their own, not just a different color?

Why don't these 2 companies just use 1 remote to work for both systems? Especially since they are using the same company to produce them and they are virtually simialr.
I know compatibility, but there has to be a way for this to work.......
