It must have the wrong driver installed. I'd go into the device manager and delete the driver for the camera, then plug in the mp3 player and let it auto-detect. When it goes to install the drivers, manually point it to the drivers for your mp3 player.

Here are your latest drivers: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...=Link_Software

and here is your user manual: http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/h/h...05_dfu_eng.pdf

solution!

I had this exact same problem, nothing on the philips site worked to fix it, and i got no help from philips tech support. In the end I 'rolled back' media player to v9 (uninstall it in add/remove programs) rebooted, plugged in the player (detected as camera) so removed the drivers via device manager, unplugged the mp3 player, upgraded to media player 10, ran the philips 'detect MPT program' from their support website and plugged the player back in... this time it detected it properly! I had to reboot once more but now it works just fine
